OUR VISION

Neath Port Talbot Children’s Rights Unit (CRU) is a charity that was established to promote and protect the rights of children and young people in Neath Port Talbot and the surrounding areas. We aim to make the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), a reality for children, young people and their families.

The CRU was first established in 2003 and is governed by a Board of Trustees that are responsible for overseeing the work of the charity and its long-term direction.

We provide opportunities and support for children and young people up to the age of 25 to develop the confidence and skills to understand and exercise their rights, thus becoming active citizens in their communities.

We also aim to advance the education of duty bearers to understand their role in enabling children and young people to access their rights.
