SUPPORTING ‘YOVO’ TO HAVE THEIR VOICES HEARD
The Children’s Rights Unit is working in partnership with the Participation and Engagement Officer at NPTCBC to ensure that children and young people in care can have their voices meaningfully heard. ‘YoVo’ Your Voice Matters, is the name the young people chose for their Children in Care Council. ‘YoVo’ have recently formed to ensure that all children and young people who are in foster care are able to express their views and opinions through the group and ensure that they can have their voices heard by decision makers.
Check out their logo which was inspired by the design of a young person in foster care – we think it’s great! We are looking forward to supporting the group to make changes and get involved in meaningful participation. Go ‘YoVo’!
