Successful ‘Young Trustees Cymru’ Project comes to an end

Funding for the innovative ‘Young Trustees Cymru’ project ended in March 2017. Through Volunteering in Wales funding, the project trained more than 80 young people in the accredited ‘Preparing to be a board member’ training and empowered them to have their voices heard in decision making roles.

We have supported many of the young people to take up voluntary roles, with more than 70% of the young people who achieved the qualification going on to meaningfully represent youth voice in organisations including: ABMU; EYST, Children’s Rights Unit; Schools; Colleges; Community Councils; Young Wales.

We are very proud of all the ‘Young Trustees’ and what they have achieved and wish them every success in the future.
