***New*** ONLINE 'Preparing to be a board member' training for young people

Our ‘Get on Board Cymru’ project has been successful over the last few years in training and supporting over 150 young people to become active citizens in their communities. Our accredited Level 1 CQFW ‘Preparing to be a board member’ training has given young people the skills and knowledge to undertake roles as board members and trustees; and as representatives on youth advisory panels, youth panels and school councils.

“I thoroughly enjoyed completing the ‘Preparing to be a Board Member’ qualification. It was fun, interactive, and interesting. I learnt valuable skills which have helped me with my role as Chair of BAYouth, and I would encourage all members of an advisory panel to complete the training – it is more than a qualification because it is a way of increasing the participation of young people in a wide range of voluntary roles.”
Catrin, Chair, BAYouth.

We are passionate about ensuring that young people continue to be given opportunities to have their voices heard and be involved in decision-making in their communities.

Our team have been busy behind the scenes and have now developed the training so that it can be delivered ONLINE.
