Harri receives Special Award

We are very proud to announce that Harri Evans-Mason received the ‘Debbie Connolly Special Recognition Award’ for his contribution to volunteering at the NPTCVS Celebration of volunteering evening this week.

Harri has devoted a considerable amount of his time and energy to the Children’s Rights agenda in the Neath Port Talbot area. He worked in partnership with the Children’s Rights Unit to develop the accredited ‘Young Trustee’ training resource and has given presentations and provided support to various organisations on how to engage young people in decision making roles. He also wrote a Guide to Youth Representation for Town and Community Councils and was a full board member of the CRU for nearly two years.

Harri represented young people and ensured their voices were heard as a Youth Representative for Pontardawe Town Council, this included establishing a Youth PACT group and an online platform for out of school activities in the area.

As a key member of ABMYoUth (ABMU’s young person’s advisory panel) Harri and his peers are dedicated to improving health services for children and young people and represent their voices across the ABMU area. He is also the Student Union President for Neath Port Talbot College Group.

Harri is a committed young man who is passionate about ensuring that young people have their voices heard locally. His intelligence and maturity have proven Harri to be a wonderful volunteer and asset to the Children’s Rights Unit, Pontardawe Town Council, ABMU and Neath Port Talbot College Group.

Well done Harri!
